How do NavVis and BIMIT integrate?
Open FAQ question

BIMIT is the fastest and easiest way to convert your NavVis point cloud into an accurate BIM.

NavVis reality capture products produce highly accurate point clouds of complex sites at scale. With the click of a button, NavVis IVION connects directly to BIMIT, where you can get an instant quote to convert your registered point cloud into BIM, CAD, IFC and more.

BIMIT delivers your assets in IPX, the immersive, browser-based platform that makes it easy for the whole team to access building data effortlessly, regardless of technical expertise. Users can rotate and explore 3D models, switch to 2D/CAD view for precise measurements, and inventory everything from furniture to HVAC systems across the whole portfolio.

CAD
Open FAQ question

The term computer aided design (CAD) refers to the use of computers to create graphical representations of physical objects to assist in the design process. It can also refer to the use of computers to prepare presentational images or to prepare production information enabling objects to be manufactured, although sometimes this is referred to as computer aided drafting as it does not necessarily involve designing. In combination, these processes may be referred to as computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).

CAD can be used to create 2D or 3D representations, and can also be used to generate animations and other presentational material. It may allow the addition of supplementary information such as dimensions, descriptions of components, references to specifications and so on.

Point Cloud
Open FAQ question

A point Cloud is a set of data points in space. The points may represent a 3D shape or object. Each point position has its set of Cartesian coordinates (X, Y, Z).[1] Point clouds are generally produced by 3D scanners or by photogrammetry software, which measure many points on the external surfaces of objects around them.

BIM
Open FAQ question

Building information modeling (BIM) is a process supported by various tools, technologies and contracts involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. Building information models (BIMs) are computer files (often but not always in proprietary formats and containing proprietary data) which can be extracted, exchanged or networked to support decision-making regarding a built asset.
